I’ve spent quite a bit of time, decades in fact, in a corporate role, doing a lot of really important things. Like many of you, I’ve worn many hats, all amazing in their ability to teach me new things and in allowing me to share the lessons I was learning along the way with so many others. I loved it all; most of all the people I was fortunate to engage at every turn. I thrived on the introspective dialogue, decision-making and creative experiences, all responsible for the success of that journey.
Armed with those experiences and with creativity as a true source of inspiration for me, it was time for a new hat, Entrepreneur!
Introducing…Upstyle Xperience!
Upstylex is an opportunity to bring what I have learned onto a new platform that will allow for a new source of expression for me in a way that multiplies experiences for others.
We are all bringing our best selves to everything we do and we’re busier now than we ever imagined. Don’t give up! Our social moments can be elevated too :). Have a new conversation, relish in and share a special moment of inspiration, be your own mixologist and please, please, for me, pull out the sexy glass when you do it.

Inspiration – Anjelica
I am self-proclaimed modern-day hippie, a walking motivational quote, and the perfect balance of the hurricane and the rainbow. To describe myself in a few words would be: witty, realistic, resilient, and intentional. Always professing to my mother, “I was born in the wrong decade!”, I’m a sucker for 70’s sitcoms and old school music. Though a little Trap music never hurt anyone! If i could time travel, I would be in the middle of Woodstock (1969 of course) swaying to the sounds of Santana and Jimi. I am the Around the Way Girl from New Jersey, by way of Florida. A daughter, a sister, a friend. I am a lover of many things: travel, hair, nails, and fashion. Ahh but, writing… writing will always be my first and my forever love.
I have always had a passion for writing, and poetry. It became my escape at a very young age; journaling, writing songs, and creating poems that inspire people to never give up and to remain their most authentic selves. I encourage daily journaling as a way of therapeutic release, and positive manifestation. I believe deeply that gratuity jars and positive affirmations alter the way you think, and how you live. That one girl who has a billion Post-Its on her mirror reciting positive mantras by the dozen, while combing her coils, that’s me!

I’m a fashion girl who loves lots of pink and lots of bling. My degree is in Fashion and business. In my spare time I blog on AfrosandHeels.com, talking about natural hair and stylish pieces.
I try to surround myself with creativity and keep a journal of random thoughts to feed the flow. Supporting small business is very important to me. I’m glad I had the opportunity to join the Upstyle Xperience team, pouring my imaginations into the creative process and helping to promote the growth of this company into something big!
